Corner Garden Nijmegen (NL)

This corner garden in Nijmegen (NL) is part of the Japanese pond garden I designed and built earlier. The planting was filled in with sown annuals during the first year, while the perrenials mature. These are draught resistant and in part native plants. The tree planted in the corner is a native quince (Cydonia oblonga).
Centaurea phrygia, Helenium 'Meranti' and Achillea 'Terracotta'

Paving was laid with reclaimed materials, as well as the wall surrounding the garden. This has incorporated nooks for wildlife and wallflowers. The pergola was built from chestnut timber, supporting Clematis vitalba and the soft yellow climbing rose 'Golden gate'.
