Shade border under Ash tree

 

This shade border in Ashdon (Essex) I designed and planted last spring, including some modest landscaping to improve soil and laying a new path that connects the existing stairway to the lawn, taking visitors trough the actual planting. I included many plants with different leaf structures and colours, creating a lush forest garden. Plants sourced from Beeches nursery in Ashdon.

Front garden in Arnhem

 

This front garden in Arnhem (NL) I designed and planted in 2022. I had previously done the clients' back garden which they were very happy with. The soil was notoriously poor, so we had to excavate the top 50 cms and replace with good garden soil and compost. This cearly helped as the planting is already doing a lot better than the previous.

Full Garden Renovation

 Garden renovation in Oosterbeek (NL) designed by Anthonetta van Bergenhenegouwen from Bloemen in de Tuin. For this project I acted as contractor; arranging excavation works, waste collection, material deliveries, etc. The landscaping work itself was done by myself and the clients, during quite difficult winter conditions. Courtyard border design

 

This fiery courtyard border I designed and planted for a client in Saffron Walden. In the rear I planted a dark leafed form of elder, Sambucus nigra 'Black lace', which will add height and structure to the border.
