The owners of this medium sized back garden in central Cambridge wanted a complete makeover as the garden looked dull and uninspiring. I started with relaying the path, moving it from the side to the centre so it now leads through the actual planting. The plants themselves were designed to create semi transparant screens which add movement and suspense; they invite you to walk into the garden and explore. I also put in a new trellis fence to block out the shed at the back and allow climbers like Honeysuckle and Clematis. The planting is designed to give year-round interest, looking still very colourful in October (see central picture below).
